6 - The First Blow

A voice. A deep voice in the darkness. And then a bright light. A dazzle light. William woke up the morning after the funeral but he did not woke up by himself. An old man was shouting at him and asking what he was doing there. Suddenly, William noticed that man was the security guard of the cementery. The same man who saw him in his grandfather's funeral. A flash went through his mind and he jump from the grass and started runnig while the security guard kept shouting. But William did not even heard what he was shouting. His ears were full of the sound of his heart beating. He could not believe how stupid he was. The images of him being discovered by his family started to appear in his mind. He tried so hard to make those images disappear. But it was impossible. And inevitably, after the images came many questions: What if the security guard recognised him? What if he was recognised? What if his family discover his plann? What was going to tell Oscar now? He could not stay in that area for a long time. He was in danger every single second he would stay there. So, he came back to Oscar's house. Obviously, Oscar was angry. When William told Oscar where he was, Oscar could not believe it. The angry turned into dissapointment. He thought that kid was smarter. But he was still a kid. He used to forget it. He never met a boy with such aspirations. With that need of revenge. Oscar told William he was going to help him, but under his conditions. If William wanted his help, he had to avoid that irresponsable behaviour. William agreed. Not everyone is ready to go through the difficult path of revenge, Oscar said. William needed to be ready physically and mentally. Especially mentally. A revenge is somenthing that tires the mind. And in most of the cases, it destroys the mind. That is why William needed a though mind to achieve his revenge. The Norton family was just a typical family. They were used to solve every single problem they would have. They had enough resources for that. So, their goal was not going to be easily achieved. And that is another feature someone that wants to revenge need to have: patient. Every successful revenge takes time. And the one Oscar had in mind, was going to take a lot of time. They say that the more time you spent thinking in your revenge, the more hurtful it is. Oscar advised William that he trained meanwhile he searched for enough information to start their revenge.
It was a calm night, just like a typical summer night. The calm before the storm. Someone rang on Alexander's mansion. Maria opened the door and, suddenly, the police entered and arrested Patrick. The police accused him of  illegal bussiness. Just when the police left with an arrested Patrick on the back seat, all of them recieved a text message: "I know what you did and I will make you pay for it. There is no place where you can hide. I will find you wherever you are. There is no place where you can feel safe and sound. I will always be watching you. And I will not stop until you all feel the fire of hell.". The game just started.
