5 - What Nobody Can See
Oscar was surprised. He never thought such a young man could have so much anger. But he knew there was a terrible sadness behind that anger. That boy just lost his parents and his house. In forty eight hours his lived changed dramatically. And there is nothing but anger to keep yourself going. Oscar knew it perfectly well. So, Oscar wanted a reason and there he had it. A perfect reason to help him, William said. He prayed for Oscar to accept. Oscar had enough resources to help him and was intelligent enough to ruin his family's lifes. That man was his only chance to achieve his goal. Finally, Oscar accepted. But he set up his own conditions. Although he did not said it aloud, William was exultant. He was really looking forward to see the ones who destroyed his life suffer. However, everytime he thought about it, he scared. He would have never imagined he could think such horrible things. But he did. Suddenly, Oscar stood up and caught a laptop that was inside a drawer and started looking for something they could use. William took a closer look to Oscar's house. He saw a locked cupboard. Through the glass he could see lots of files and documents. They had to be worthy if they were locked into a cupboard. But, suddenly, William saw a newspaper with a shocking new on the front page. His parents funeral was going to take place that evening. But not only his parents funeral but his own. He did not remenbered everyone thought he was dead. But forgeting about his parents funeral was too hurtful. He totally forgot about that. It was the first time he experienced how revenge and anger could make him forget about what really mattered. Unfortunately, it was not going to be the last time. When Oscar turned around to talk to William nobody was there and the door was opened. The whole family was in the cementery. At least, they tried very hard to seem sad. It seemed false even from William was. He was seeing the show from a hill up the cementery. He did not care about being discovered by his family. He had to go. Not too many people could say they saw their own funeral. Once everyone was gone, he went down the hill, right to the place where his parents and him supposedly rested. Even though those gravestones were unworthy for him, he was tearing up. He could not forget his mother's screams, the image of his father surrounded by flames. And, suddenly, the sorrow started to become anger. He hit the grass and swear he would make them suffer until they begged to die. He lied beside his parents gravestone and before he even noticed, he felt asleep.
