Compulsory Writing: My name is Sir Gawain...

My name is Sir Gawain. I am studying English philology because English literature and culture has always been my passion. I started studying English when I was just a kid. That is why I have always been good at studying English because, in my opinion, the sooner you start studying a language the easier it gets. My parents were really concerned about this as they thought learning such an important language as English was crucial for my future. When I was a child I did not care too much about this matter but now that I am older I have noticed that being able to talk in another language is not only important to look for a job since it also gives you the possibility to communicate with other people, to discover new cultures and to understand them and even to appreciate them. Knowing a language opens your mind to a whole new world you did not know it existed.

As a conclusion, being able to talk in a different language gives you the possibility to have a wide open mind, that is a matter of fact.
