5 - What Nobody Can See

Oscar was surprised. He never thought such a young man could have so much anger. But he knew there was a terrible sadness behind that anger. That boy just lost his parents and his house. In forty eight hours his lived changed dramatically. And there is nothing but anger to keep yourself going. Oscar knew it perfectly well. So, Oscar wanted a reason and there he had it. A perfect reason to help him, William said. He prayed for Oscar to accept. Oscar had enough resources to help him and was intelligent enough to ruin his family's lifes. That man was his only chance to achieve his goal. Finally, Oscar accepted. But he set up his own conditions. Although he did not said it aloud, William was exultant. He was really looking forward to see the ones who destroyed his life suffer. However, everytime he thought about it, he scared. He would have never imagined he could think such horrible things. But he did. Suddenly, Oscar stood up and caught a laptop that was inside a drawer and started looking for something they could use. William took a closer look to Oscar's house. He saw a locked cupboard. Through the glass he could see lots of files and documents. They had to be worthy if they were locked into a cupboard. But, suddenly, William saw a newspaper with a shocking new on the front page. His parents funeral was going to take place that evening. But not only his parents funeral but his own. He did not remenbered everyone thought he was dead. But forgeting about his parents funeral was too hurtful. He totally forgot about that. It was the first time he experienced how revenge and anger could make him forget about what really mattered. Unfortunately, it was not going to be the last time. When Oscar turned around to talk to William nobody was there and the door was opened. The whole family was in the cementery. At least, they tried very hard to seem sad. It seemed false even from William was. He was seeing the show from a hill up the cementery. He did not care about being discovered by his family. He had to go. Not too many people could say they saw their own funeral. Once everyone was gone, he went down the hill, right to the place where his parents and him supposedly rested. Even though those gravestones were unworthy for him, he was tearing up. He could not forget his mother's screams, the image of his father surrounded by flames. And, suddenly, the sorrow started to become anger. He hit the grass and swear he would make them suffer until they begged to die. He lied beside his parents gravestone and before he even noticed, he felt asleep.

Compulsory Writing: Smartphones - Only advantages?

Smartphones are not as good as we think they are. Everyone thinks smartphones and technology in general, make our life easiest but they present plenty of disadvantages people do not usually consider. Even though everyone looks forward to have a smartphone, they are not always as useful as we think they are.

Smartphones could be considered as one of the greatest inventions in history. They allow as to communicate with people all over the world just pushing some buttons. Moreover, current technology developments have allow us to have a security system in our mobile phones or even to control the blinds of our houses or the TV.

Nevertheless, smartphones are not as useful as we think. The problem starts when we rely too many things on technology. New generations know perfectly how to use a mobile phone. On the contrary, they are completely lost when they try to send a letter because they have never done it. Therefore, if there is a break on the Internet or on the global telecommunications nobody is going to be able to communicate with people just because they do not know any other way to do it.

Overall, smarphones can improve many aspects of our daily life, but relying too many thing on them could be dangerous. From my perspective, we should be able to resolve our problems by ourselves and do not trust too much in some devices that do not last forever.

4 - Reason

It was dark, very dark inside Oscar's house. He never saw such a strange house like that. The walls seemed like they were covered with coal. He hardly distinguished if the walls were painted in black or they were just full of dirt. Another thing that shocked him was that the walls were empty. Not a single painting, not a single photo, not a single portrait. Nothing. He remenbered his house was full of photographs of him and his parents. And also of his grandfather. But there were no photos now. Everything of his past was ash. He should be part of that ash. At least that was what Oscar told Willam when he entered in his house. William told Oscar everything, although he did not tell the details. Some details like he was the heir of Henry's fortune. William was not so sure if what he saw in Oscar's eyes was astonishment, but Oscar did not certainly expected something like that. Oscar knew what that family was capable of. He himself suffered the consecuencies of confronting them. But he did not expected such an outrageous crime. He was surprised. After everything he saw during his life, he still was shocked with how money corrupted the human mind. Oscar did not knew why William went to his house, at the other part of the city. But Oscar had always been an intelligent man and he could supposed what the reason was. He prayed to be wrong. On his behalf, William was not sure if that strange man could help him. What a twenty two year old boy and an almost sixty year old man were going to do  against such poweful family? But he had no option. He had to tell Oscar everything he needed and pray for him to accept. But before William could say anything, Oscar denied. He suffered enough pain years before and he was not willing to give up his peaceful life. It was so hard to build up the life he had now. But William did not saw that in his eyes. He always had a gift to see through someone's eyes and percieved what that person was feeling. Sometimes it was difficult, as with uncle Alexander, but sometimes it was really easy, as with Oscar. William's eyes seemed to have X-ray and he could see Oscar's soul perfectly well. So, William was clever enough to suppose that such a brilliant and excepcional mind could not resist such tedious life. But not only entertaiment moves a person to confront one of the most powerful families in the world. He knew the anger Oscar felt for his family was something he could also take a profit from. Oscar was surprised of how intelligent that kid was. A characteristic obviously inherited from his grandfather. Even though he did not say it aloud, he recognised that kid was right. But he was still sceptical. He did not knew if he wanted to get into that war. But he also saw that as an opportunity for revenge. That revenge he awaited for years. And he knew that was a wickness. He learned years before that deep feelings should be hiden in order to not to show your wicknesses to your enemies. And he thought it was not going to be so easy for William to take advantage of his anger. Maybe William was clever, but not as clever as he was. Oscar directly asked William to tell him a real reason that convinced him. And William did it.

"I want to snatch everything they have. I want them to be as defenseless as I have been. I want them to feel the fire of hell. I want to blow up their world. And when I finish the only valuable object they will have, it will be the tears on their eyes."

Compulsory Writing: Only Children

Only children are different from children who have siblings. The fact that they do not have brothers or sisters makes them develop a different personality. Furthermore, this situation leads them to have problems to socialise. Only children are more prone to isolate themselves from other people since this affects the way they are raised.

The developing of their personality starts at home. This is the place where they spent the most of their time. They play, eat, talk and watch TV in their houses. But they do all that by themselves, since they do not have someone to share their experiencies with. In adittion, they only communicate with their parents in an envorment they feel safe and confident and where they know they are not going to be judged. The problem starts when they get used to that and then they have to communicate with unknown people.

Socially, only children have more problems than children who have siblings. When the time to make friends comes to their lifes, they do not feel confident anymore. They go out of their comfort zone and that makes them feel defenseless. Furthermore, they feel judged by people they do not know. That is what makes them want to be alone. They feel more comfortable when they have nobody around because that is what they are used to. So, they think they would rather be alone than being judged and rejected.

All those situations could make them develop a different personality. They can became possesive over things since they have not shared anything in their lifes. Everything they recieve is for them and for nobody else because they have none to share their things with. Moreover, they recieve their parents whole attetion which could leads them to became arrogants or even narcisists. Giving an excessive attetion to them could make them feel they are the only ones who deserves attention.

Overall, only childs usually have more problems to socialise with other people. Being raised with no siblings makes their personality different. They usually end up with personality problems as they could became arrogant. Having nobody to share their experiencies with makes only children more prone to isolate themselves. That is why many people recommend to have more than one child in order to make their social life better.

3 - Reinforcements

The next day, the newspapers said that "a terrible accident" killed Thomas, Angelica and William Norton last night. Everyone believed he was dead. His family thought he became ashes just like his parents did last night. They thought their plann was succesful. But they were completly wrong. He was still alive and full of anger. But that anger did not cover the fact that he was alone. He had no idea what to do. He had no place to live in. That was what he thought while he was sitting on a park bench near his house. He had a strange feeling. It was like if he could still feel the fire on his cheeks, the smell of smoke, the heat all around him. Those feelings would follow him for the rest of his life. He was condemned. But thinking about how he will take revenge of those who condemned him was something that calmed him down. That was what he needed to focus on. But, what could he do? He had no resources. He could not take the money he inherited because he was dead, and those who are dead do not need money. And he also could not let everyone knows he survived. That was an advantage he could not get rid off. Even though he did not like the idea, he needed someone who helped him. Many faces appeared in his mind but, who could he trust in? Everyone who dicovered he was alive would tell it to his family. He needed to find someone that would hate his family as much as he did. Someone who would be brave enough to face one of the most powerful families in the world. Only one face appeared in his mind: Oscar Wodrow. William heard many stories about him. He knew Oscar was a family old friend that helped his grandfather to build his empire. But his uncles charge some illegal business on Oscar. Although it was never demostrated, his grandfather could not allow those types of suspicions and fired him. William heard he moved to the other side of the city, but that was a long time ago. He did not even know if he still lived there. But he had nothing to lose. He avoided the crowded places and went around the city since he could not risk to be discovered. When he arrived, he found a very charasteristic neighbourhood. It was no the type of neighbourhood he was used to. Every house had the same structure of the one beside. He thought that the architect that design that neighbourhood was not very creative. He risk to ask an old lady if she knew Oscar. It did not matter because no one was going to recognise him in that part of the city anyway. Apparently, everyone in that neighbourhood knew Oscar and his story. The old lady told William the house Oscar lived in. There was no difference with the other houses except for a sign saying: KEEP OUT. Apparently, Oscar was not a very welcoming host. William knocked on the door twice and a deep voice said exactly what the sign said: KEEP OUT. William insisted and asked him to open the door. He could feel how the voice insde the house was becoming more furious and furious. Although William did not want to, he had to do it. He finally said: "I am William Norton". The door was opened.

Compulsory Writing: Gender Violence (introduction and conclusion)

Gender violence is still a major issue of our society. Nowdays, many women are killed just because they felt in love with the wrong person. Many of them do not feel they are mistreated women until they experience an extreme situation of violence. In fact, an eighty percent do not informe against their couples because they think they are going to be seen as submissive and ingenuous women by society. Nowdays, in our supposedly modern society, too many women suffer from gender violence just because they are still considered the fairer sex.

It is heartbreaking to see the hard situations a woman still has to experience just because she made a bad choice. They are so in love that they consider those situations as normal. Our society has evolve enough to erradicate gender violence and the consideration that women are the fairer sex. That is why everyone should take bear in mind that today is an unknown woman who suffers gender violence, but tomorrow it could be our mother, our sister or maybe our daughter.

2 - Burnt Memories

William Norton, a twenty two year old boy, became the richest man in the world. It was strange that was the first thing he thought. He never was a materialistic boy. They knew that, by the moment his son´s name was pronunced, he became the target of the entire family. And Angelica knew what her family was capable of. So they did not even waste a second and ,when they arrived home, they started to pack their bags as quickly as possible. They started to throw Molotov cocktails through the windows. Before they even noticed, William and his parents were surrounded by fire. Angelica took his son upstairs. William turned his head to look for his father and, suddenly, a Molotov concktail entered through the window that was in front of Thomas. The last thing he saw, was the image of his father surrounded by flames. But he did not have time to think his father was dead. He and his mother had to escape. Angelica knew there was a secret passage in the bathroom which led to the street, outside the gardens of the house, through the sewage system. It was a very old and big house and her father always said there were lots of secret passages all over the house. She wished to know all of them in that moment. As soon as she opened the door of the bathroom. they heard a deafening noise. The front door fell and the men in black entered in the house. She and William did not have much time. She opened the secret passage and William entered first. He barely could move because it was really straight in there. When he stopped and turned his head back to wait for his mother, the door of the bathroom opened and lots of men caught his mother. He wanted to go back. He wanted to go back more than anything, but he could not have done anything. He carried on with his eyes full of tears, hearing his mother screaming. He end up in the street in front of his house. The house where he spent his happiest years. That house that was burnt now. He knew who was the people responsible for that. In that moment, with the flame´s reflection in his eyes, he swore revenge.

1 - Family Ties

It was a rainy day, just like the typical funeral day that appears in films. His grandfather died the day before. Henry Norton, the head of the most powerful and influential family in the world. His grandson, William Norton, the youngest of the family, was deeply upset. He loved his grandfather mora than anyone. When he was a child he loved spending time with his grandfather who always told him stories about kings and queens and the conspiracy enviroment of the court. He really enjoyed hearing these stories but, as he was growing up, he felt that his grandfather had a special purpose, other than entertain him with them. But there will be no stories anymore. His grandfather was dead. This was an event that was anxiously waited for a long time by every member of the family. Although not everyone had the same type of anxiety. It is fair to say that some members of the family happily recieved the news of Henry´s death. Specially Julius Norton, the third son of Henry, and his wife Caterina. Julius always was different from his siblings. He was greedy and manipulative, just like the villian of his grandfather´s stories. And he never tried to hide it since he always felt proud of being that way. That is one of the reasons why Caterina and him were the perfect couple. They loved money more than anything. They would have sold their souls to the Devil if they had made a profitable deal. Opposite to Julius, William´s parents, Angelica and Thomas, never wanted this moment to come. They always knew this event would destroy their family. Angelica always felt her father´s death was going to start a war nobody knew when it would end. In Henry´s funeral, there was an strange enviroment. Everyone nerves were on edge since everybody wanted to know who was going to inherit the enmpire Henry built. Alexander Norton, the second son of Henry, was also nervous, but he tried to hide it. He was one of those people who never show his emotions. He always had a calm look, almost with no expression. He perfectly knew that the eyes are the window to the soul. So, he used that as a defensive method because no one could hurt him if they did not know what his weaknesses were. He, his wife Maria and his twins, Eric and Patrcik, arrived just in time to hear the will reading. Henry´s lawyer was reading the will in front of the anxious audience when, suddenly, a single name was pronunced. A name that shaked the foundations of the family more than any other. William Norton, the lawyer said.
